Weird that’s exactly what I thought as well, except with out the, you know, intelligence and drive to create/destroy. Everything that made Tyler Durden good, basically.
I agree with most your points, except at 5:20ish where you attack the developer by putting words in their mouths and then insulting them for saying these things. Sure this game probably won’t end up good, and yes Dante is an obnoxious character that isn’t likable in this iteration of the game, but attacking the developer doesn’t solve too much, and portrays you in bad light.
Except the director has already officially stated that Ninja Theory think their design choices are better, whether or not they as a whole think the previous games have good or bad writing (Which they probably don’t since they’re taking a complete 180 and calling it better) they have said it themselves, they think Dante is better as a broody teenager.
Actually, the writing in neither Heavenly Sword nor Enslaved were written in house at Ninja Theory. HS was written by Rhianna Pratchett and E:OtW written by Alex Garland. DmC, meanwhile, has been written entirely in-house. Coincidence?
Is it just me, or does the new Dante look like Hilary Swank from Boys Don’t Cry?
Don’t even get started on what they did to the combat ugh….
That ending…
Much enjoyed the video, we can only hope that this ends up as DMC2 and Capcom wanting to pretend it never happened.
I feel like I know the song in the background. Something from Silent Hill?
Walking theme from Bully.
to me it looks like they are trying to base him around Tyler durden from Fight club

what a shit eating grin
Why would you put that ending there ;_;

Now you know how I felt while watching JJTrek…

Darn you and your comprehensive, convincing explanations! I just lost a lot of hope for this game.
What’s the song you’ve used during your talking sections? It’s really familiar and bugging me SO MUCH because I know I’ve heard it before…
