The tutorial was easily the weakest portion of the game, ill-preparing the player for how to play the game. I was never able to truly figure it out and ended up just deleting out of frustration. However, when the planets aligned and I had myself some good action sprees, it felt very liberating and satisfying. I dislike the game, but I feel the principals behind it are well worth exploring.

Is it me or does that game have similar animations to Jet Set Radio series? (Not to mention the art style and fonts…)
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the team were to cite the Jet Set Radio series as an influence. It’s clearly there.
Oh fuck that ending had me shaking with laughter. Nice review Cameron, you’ve analysed the game really thoroughly and for that I commend you.
