I began playing this this past week, after paying $15 to support the developers, and so far I have no difference in opinion with you on this game. It’s honestly a very fun game, especially for one that is going to be free to play. I’d happily pay another 10 bucks if that had been the final price of the game, and even now I’ve paid the developers $5 more than the minimum to play.
I’ve played the duelist and ranger classes, with the ranger being the more satisfying of the two. The duelist has it’s points, but it obviously gets hit so much more being a melee class. Playing alone, healing becomes a major issue. Unlike Diablo, the “potions” you get can be magical items (not sure about rare or unique potions) that have multiple charges. These charges are used up when you sip from that particular potion, and recharge as you kill a certain number of enemies. This allows you to not be required to carry around a ton of potions, unlike in Diablo 2.
