  1. >That opening

Does this mean that GYP is in the big leagues?

As much as I would love to claim that was the case, it really was just a simple matter of Amer sending an email off to Colin a few minutes after we had recorded the podcast and the idea had come up.

Though we did receive an invitation to a little something recently, so I guess that’s a start. Next stop, E3?

Oh man, it would be fucking amazing if you guys managed to get to E3.

I don’t think i could handle all that truth bombs you’d be dropping on overhyped games.

EA offends me too! They want from us to watch them…
By the way, i dont know how people could not play Age of Empires 2 or mistake Age of Mythology with Age of Wonders(fantasy turn strategy)

Silence you fool! You will reveal to the world the plans of The Great S! Behold, our time is soon, and The Great S will lead us into the next gen. The Great S will stomp out the casuals. Glory to The Great S, who makes flawless hardware.

Proceed with phase two of indoctrination.

Speaking of Dead Space 3, what do you guys think about Capcom’s anouncment to bring the Resident Evil series back to its roots? The news is a bit old but I just wanted to bring that up. Kinda falls into the decaying state of survival horror games, well at least on consoles anyway.

Other than that, keep up the good work guys!

    • I think when RE: Revelations comes out it will sell way better than RE6 did, and as a result a few years down the line we’ll get a reboot that plays pretty much like Resident Evil 4. I think that’s as far back “to its roots” that Capcom is willing to go. RE4 was definitely still more action than survival horror, but it was pretty much the peak of the series’ critical success so it seems likely they will aim for that.

I for one would be totally cool with that.

There IS an official Sims 2 expansion that puts Ikea furniture into the game called “The Sims 2 Ikea Home Stuff”.

So, yeah, it actually exists. Just thought i’d share this with you people…

Ultima 7 did actually have fully-interactive environments, or at least it was interactive to a higher degree than even many games since.

  7. You rushed through a few topics like SimCity and Star Wars 1313, or otherwise got sidetracked with a few other things, but it was a pretty good podcast.

But to be perfectly honest, I just listen to the GYPodcast to hear more of Kyle and Mike’s bromance. I haven’t heard bromance of this magnitude since the Freelance Astronauts were still active and starring both Ferr and Pipes.

    • Kyle Johnson on said:

Yeah I guess we didn’t have much to say about SimCity other than the obvious, since none of us have actually played it. The Star Wars stuff is all rumor and speculation, so again not much to go on.
