I'll do the research for them: Athene is an internet personality who has obtained popularity by exploiting video games in order to temporarily become "the best". His exploits are quickly patched by developers, and unable to cheat, he is immediately replaced by players who employ skill instead of cunning--but not for long. Like a fistula, Athene immediately returns once another exploit can be found, ushering in a new Dark Age in which people won't shut the fuck up about him.

I find it endearing that the casters aren't familiar with him, considering how he manages to weasel into every piece of gaming media ever distributed--even those produced prior to his advent.

Who is "Anthene"? Did you all even attempt to research some of these subjects? Didn't sound like it. You could have googled "Athene" and saved yourself the awkwardness of trying to pronounce it 3 different ways during the recording.

The Diablo 3 hacking thing isn't really a surprise to anyone that's played WoW for a long period of time especially the last 2 or 3 years. By the middle of Wrath most raiding guilds required or strongly urged all of it's members to have authenicators because hacking had become such a widespread problem. I'll admit it's pretty ridiculous, it's to the point that Blizzard should really just give people free authenicators when they buy their products and one could easily argue that as a consumer Blizzard should be able to provide us with secure products.

Don't quit your day jobs because you all suck at this. Hopefully the more you do, the better you'll get at it.
