Most people remember Animal Crossing fondly. It was a cute and entertaining Gamecube game; one of the better ones. There were two sequels to the game, Wild World and City Folk, and now Nintendo is releasing a 4th installment to the series titled Jump Out for the 3DS. Recently a 47-minute video that presents a detailed look at the new game was released by Nintendo.
If you live in Japan you will be able to purchase bundles that include a new 3DS with Animal Crossing themed designs on November 8th when Animal Crossing: Jump Out is released. If not the English port is set to be released in the first half of 2013.
Looks like more of the same, but I’m excited nonetheless. The previous versions of Animal Crossing were able to create a compelling world that was fun, creative, and maybe a bit too cutesy. The new Mayor role, meanwhile, expands the game play and customization in a logical direction.
